Last but not least is the spectacular Nangang, an almost perfect all-rounder when it comes to all the elements that make Taipei so special. It’s a jack-of-all-trades, meaning that if you want to try a little bit of (almost) everything – including amazing mountain trails, great shopping opportunities, sensational natural wonders, delightful restaurants and more – you’ll probably find it here.
Nangang even has excellent transport links, so if there’s something that you can’t find in the area, getting there shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. This is a truly excellent choice for most visitors.

Getting to Nangang
While there are many public transport options available from Taipei Songshan Airport, you’ll need to pay more for a taxi to make your journey to Nangang in good time. Bus and train routes from the airport can easily take around an hour and 45 minutes, with most taxis completing the journey in around 20 minutes.
A taxi is also the best option when travelling from Taoyuan International Airport, being cheap and, in some instances, managing the journey in under an hour, depending on your route. If you opt for public transport instead, you can expect to be looking at a journey time of up to two hours in some cases.
